October 30, 2026 – Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (LLGAMH) is pleased to announce the opening of the HART Hub’s Leeds Grenville site at 280 King St. East, Brockville, which will begin welcoming clients on Monday, November 9, 2026.

Funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Health, the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville HART Hub will operate in two locations, providing community members with low-barrier access to a full continuum of addictions and mental health support, housing stability for long-term recovery, and, in some cases, a pathway out of homelessness. The first location in Lanark County opened in December 2025.

“We are building a stronger, more connected system of mental health and addictions care that reflects the needs of communities and focuses on lasting recovery,” said Michelle Cooper, Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions. “The opening of this new HART Hub will ensure that people in Leeds and Grenville facing mental health and addictions challenges have access to the services and supports they need to focus on recovery and building a safer, more resilient community."

“The opening of the Leeds Grenville HART Hub represents an important milestone for improving access to recovery and treatment services in the region,” said Michael Tibollo, Associate Attorney General. “As part of our government’s commitment to building a stronger, more connected system of mental health and addictions care, we are enabling local partners to provide the tailored services, supports and treatments that people need to reclaim their lives and rebuild their futures, while also setting the conditions for strengthening community safety.”

The HART Hub's Leeds Grenville site will provide clients with withdrawal management care, long-term treatment, supportive housing and wraparound care, including volunteer and employment support, education guidance, access to primary care and help reconnecting with family and community. There are no plans currently for the site to host any non-HART Hub services. The Leeds Grenville site will have 34 beds divided into three components:

o   8 withdrawal management beds, providing short-term stabilization and medical support for individuals in the early stages of recovery, with a stay lasting between one and three weeks. These beds are accessible to clients across the region

o   16 residential addiction treatment beds, offering extended treatment and recovery support for individuals continuing their rehabilitation

o   10 transitional supportive housing beds, providing stable accommodations with wraparound services for those preparing to move toward independent living

“With the opening of the Brockville HART Hub, our government is delivering on a commitment to give individuals struggling with substance use the support to break the cycle of addiction and rebuild their lives,” said Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. “I’m incredibly proud to have worked with Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health and all the community partners who made today possible. Today represents the opportunity of hope for individuals and families affected by addiction and a path forward to a brighter future.”

“Our government recognizes the importance of addressing mental health and addiction, removing the stigma surrounding it and encouraging people to get the help they need. With the leadership of Associate Minister Cooper and MPP Clark, and the support of community partners, this new HART Hub in Brockville will bring together a collaborative network of clinical, social service, and care providers to deliver services tailored to local needs. The other site of the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health’s HART Hub was established in Smiths Falls last year, so I’ve seen firsthand how vital this range of treatment and recovery services is to our most vulnerable people,” MPP John Jordan, Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health.

In its first year of operation, the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville HART Hub site in Smiths Falls has already helped five clients transition from treatment to on-site supportive housing and two others move into their own rental accommodation. Watch the HART Hub client impact video to learn more about how the Lanark site is making a difference in clients’ lives.

To make access as easy as possible, the HART Hub accepts self-referrals by phone. The program supports individuals experiencing unstable housing, substance use disorders and mental health challenges who are ready to begin their recovery journey and work toward stable housing. As a provincially funded program, the HART Hub services are provided at no additional cost to clients.

Matt Wren, Mayor, City of Brockville, shared, " Addressing homelessness requires more than providing someone with a place to stay. We need to ensure people have access to the treatment, care and ongoing supports that help them achieve stability. The opening of the HART Hub represents an important investment in those services, not just for Brockville, but for communities across Lanark, Leeds and Grenville. I want to thank the Province of Ontario for recognizing this need and Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health and its partners for bringing these much-needed services to our community. This is an important step in addressing some of the most complex challenges facing our region.”

Led by LLGAMH, the HART Hub's Lanark team includes clinical leadership, addictions counsellors and rehabilitation workers. Strong community partnerships will support both HART Hub sites in delivering the wraparound services key to clients' long-term recovery.

“With the support of our provincial government and community partners, we are opening LLGAMH’s second HART Hub location, giving communities across Leeds Grenville low-barrier access to a full continuum of mental health and addictions care under one roof,” said Todd Robertson, Board Chair, LLGAMH. “On behalf of the Board of Directors, I thank the Ontario government for its transformative investment in mental health and addictions services across our region.”

"We are thrilled to open the Lanark Leeds and Grenville HART Hub’s newest location in Brockville, offering community members treatment and individualized wraparound services that give them the time and support to rebuild their lives and achieve lasting recovery," said Kim Gifford, CEO, LLGAMH. "Clients at our Lanark site have shared the benefits of a longer-term treatment option close to home, where they can rebuild relationships and access multidisciplinary care and a supportive community throughout their recovery journey.”
